제47장

1 Jesus said, “A person cannot mount two horses or bend two bows.

2 And a servant cannot serve two masters, or that servant will honor the one and offend the other.

3 No person drinks aged wine and immediately desires to drink new wine.

4 And new wine is not poured into aged wineskins, or they might burst, and aged wine is not poured into a new wineskin, or it might spoil.

5 An old patch is not sewn onto a new garment, for there would be a tear.”

2 그리고 한 종이 두 주인을 섬길 수 없다, 그렇지 않으면, 이 주인은 존경하고 저 주인은 업신여길 것이다.

3 어느 누구도 묵은 포도주를 마시고 즉시 갓 빚은 포도주를 마시고 싶어 하지 않는다.

4 그리고 새 포도주는 낡은 가죽부대에 넣지 않는다, 그렇지 않으면 가죽부대는 터져버린다. 묵은 포도주는 새 가죽부대에 넣지 않는다, 그렇지 않으면 맛을 버릴 것이다.

5 낡은 옷 조각을 새 옷에 기워 붙이지 않는다, 왜냐하면 결국 터져버리기 때문이다.”

1 예수께서 가라사대 “한 사람이 동시에 두 말 위에 올라탈 수 없고, 한 사람이 동시에 두 활을 당길 수 없다.

2 그리고 한 종이 두 주인을 섬기지 못한다. 그렇게 되면 그 종은 한 주인은 영예롭게 할 것이나 또 한 주인은 거스르게 되리라.

3 어느 누구도 오래 묵은(양질의) 포도주를 마시고 나서 금방 새 포도주를 마시기를 원치 아니한다.

4 그리고 새 포도주는 낡은 가죽 부대에 부어 넣지 않는다. 낡은 가죽 부대가 터져 버릴 수 있기 때문이다. 그리고 오래 묵은(양질의) 포도주를 새 가죽부대에 쏟아 붓지도 않는다. 그(양질의 포도주의)맛을 버릴 수 있기 때문이다.

5 낡은 천조각을 새 옷에다가 기워 붙이지 않는다. 그것은 새 천에 안 맞아 다시 터질 것이기 때문이니라.”
