제21장

1 Mary said to Jesus, “What are your disciples like?”
2 He said, “They are like children living in a field that is not theirs.
3 When the owners of the field come, they will say, ‘Give our field back to us.’
4 They take off their clothes in front of them in order to give it back to them, and they return their field to them.
5 For this reason I say, if the owner of a house knows that a thief is coming, he will be on guard before the thief arrives and will not let the thief break into the house of his estate and steal his goods.
6 As for you, then, be on guard against the world.
7 Arm yourselves with great strength lest the robbers find a way to get to you,
8 for the trouble you expect will surely come.
9 Let there be among you a person who understands.
10 When the crop ripened, the person came quickly with sickle in hand and harvested it.
11 Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.”

1 Mary said to Jesus: “Whom are your disciples like?”
2 He said: “They are like servants who are entrusted with a field that is not theirs.
3 When the owners of the field arrive, they will say: ‘Let us have our field.’
4 (But) they are naked in their presence so as to let them have it (and thus) to give them their field.”
5 “That is why I say: ‘When the master of the house learns that the thief is about to come, he will be on guard before he comes (and) will not let him break into his house, his domain, to carry away his possessions.’
6 (But) you, be on guard against the world!
7 Gird your loins with great strength, so that the robbers will not find a way to get to you.”
8 “For the necessities for which you wait (wait longing) will be found.
9 There ought to be a wise person among you!
10 When the fruit was ripe, he came quickly with his sickle in his hand, (and) he harvested it.
11 Whoever has ears to hear should hear.”
1 마리아가 예수께 여쭈었다, “당신을 따르는 자들은 어떤 사람들입니까?”
2 예수께서 말씀하시기를, “그들은 그들의 것이 아닌 밭에 사는 어린 아이들과 같다.
3 밭의 주인들이 와서 ‘우리 밭을 우리에게 돌려 달라’ 할 것이다.
4 아이들은 주인이 보는 앞에서 옷을 벗고 그들의 밭을 도로 가지도록 하여 밭을 돌려 줄 것이다.
5 이런 연고로 내가 말한다, 집의 주인이 도적이 올 것을 알면, 도둑이 오기 전에 방비를 시작할 것이며, 그의 재물을 가져가려는 도둑이 그의 소유의 집에 도둑이 뚫고 들어오지 못하도록 할 것이다.
6 그렇다면 너희는 세상에 대해 스스로 방비하도록 하라.
7 너희 스스로 강력한 힘으로 무장하여 강도들이 너에게 다가오는 길을 찾지 못하도록 하라,
8 왜냐하면 너희가 예상하는 어려움이 분명 다가올 것이기 때문이다.
9 너희들 중에 깨달음을 지닌 자가 있으라. 곡식이 익었다면 그 사람이 곧 손에 낫을 들고 그것을 추수하였을 것이라. 누구라도 들을 귀가 있으면 듣게 하라.”

1 마리아가 예수께 여쭈어 가로되 “당신의 따르는 자들이 어떠 하오니이까?”
2 예수께서 가라사대 “그들은 그들의 것이 아닌 밭에서 사는 아해들과 같도다.
3 그 밭의 주인들이 올 때에 주인들은 ‘우리의 우리 밭을 우리에게 돌려 다오’라고 말할 것이다.
4 아해들은 주인들 앞에서 그들의 옷을, 주인들에게 밭을 돌려주기 위하여 벗어버릴 것이다. 그리고 아해들은 그들의 밭을 주인들에게 돌려줄 것이다.
5 이러한 연유로 내가 이르노니 한 집의 주인이 한 도적 오고 있다는 것을 안다면 주인은 그 도적이 도착하기 이전에 방비태세에 있을 것이요. 그 도적이 그의 소유인 집을 뚫고 들어와 그의 물건을 훔쳐 내가지 못하도록 할 것이다.
6 그렇다면 너희들이야 말로 이 세상에 대하여 방비태세에 있으라.
7 너희 자신들을 강건한 힘으로 무장하여 도둑들이 너희에게 도달하는 길을 발견할 수 없도록 할 것이다.
8 왜냐하면 너희가 기대하는 환난이 결국 닥치고야 말 것이기 때문이라.
9 너희들 가운데 내 말을 이해하는 한사람이 있기를 바라노라. 곡식이 익었을 때가 되면 곧 그 사람이 손에 낫을 들고 와서 그것을 추수하였나니라. 들을 귀가 있는 자들이여! 누구든지 들어라.
